Chapeau à Télérama.fr pour avoir eu l’idée de demander au célèbre photojournaliste David Burnett de commenter la photo de la « situation room » de la maison blanche pendant l’opération Ben Laden. David Burnett connait bien la maison, et explique comment travaille le photographe Pete Souza pour obtenir ses clichés de la vie quotidienne à la White House.

Pete Souza est du genre petite souris et fait partie des murs : « Je peux vous garantir que personne sur l’image ne pose pour Pete Souza ». Ses photos (enfin, celles retenues par le service de presse) sont visibles sur un compte Flickr, régulièrement alimenté. Elles sont en effet très justes, sans mises en scène, tout en étant des images officielles — en phase avec la personnalité de la présidence.
